Concert works include Handel’s Messiah with Greensboro Oratorio Society, First United Church in Evanston, IL, and the Metropolis Symphony. She frequently sings with St. Gregory the Great under conductor Patrick Godon in Chicago, and was featured as the soprano soloist for the Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns' Christmas Oratorio with Park Ridge Presbyterian in Park Ridge, IL.
Ms. McIntyre has appeared as a soloist on the Chicago Lyric Opera Guild Concert Series, Northbrook Parisian Salon Series, Omnitones Chamber Ensemble, Chicago Chamber Ensemble, the Lira Ensemble, and in Chamber Opera Chicago's Te Amo: An evening of Spanish Music and Dance. In 2008, she appeared at Orchestra Hall as a guest soloist for the annual Rush Medical Center Fundraiser. She performed Puccini's Vissi d’arte and the love duet from Tosca, Verdi's Brindisi from La Traviata, and a collection of Neapolitan songs most recently in a concert with the Calumet Chamber Musicians.
On screen, Ms. McIntyre has recently appeared in a T-Mobile national television commercial under the direction of Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Glee) and Musical Director Paul Mirkovich. Other credits include A&E’s The Beast and Michael Mann’s Public Enemies.
Ms. McIntyre holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Pedagogy & Performance from Belmont University and Bachelor of Music in Performance from Samford University. In addition, she has been chosen to participate in numerous opera programs including the International Vocal Arts Institute in San Juan Puerto Rico and Sherrill Milnes’ VOICExperience.
Ms. McIntyre maintains a private teaching studio at the historic Fine Arts Building and is a teaching artist for the Chicago Lyric Opera’s OperaKids! program. She is the director of the Broadway Vocal Arts Intensive summer music program as well as the children’s choir director for Sherwood Community Music School at Columbia College, recently featured on WGN Evening News. Ms. McIntyre is a member of the National Association for Teachers of Singing and serves on the board for the Chicago chapter, she was recently awarded the NATS Independent Teacher Fellowship. She is currently completing certification as a Singing Voice Specialist and is one of a handful of voice teachers across the country chosen to work with singers who have health problems and special needs, and to retrain singers recovering from illness or injury.
